Objective In order to compare the expression of Glutamate Dehydrogenase 1(GLUD1)in normal skin, solar keratosis(AK),basal cell carcinoma(BCC),cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma(cSCC),intradermal nevus and malignant melanoma(MM).Methods GLUD1 expression in 30 cases of AK,30 cases of BCC,30 cases of cSCC and 30 cases of normal skin tissue was detected by immunohistochemical streptavidin biotin-peroxidase complex(SABC)method.GLUD1 expression in 30 cases of intradermal nevus and 30 cases of MM tissue samples was compared by the same method. Results The positivity cell rates of GLUD1 in cSCC group,BCC group and AK group were(40.73±3.50)%,(33.11±2.90)%and(29.68± 4.08)%,which were significantly higher than those in normal skin group(16.37±2.14)%.The rate of positive cells in cSCC group was significantly higher than that in AK group and BCC group. The positive cell rate of GLUD1 in MM group was significantly higher than that in intradermal nevus group[(48.43±4.66)%vs.(19.64±2.45)%],and the differences were statistically significant. The positive rates of GLUD1 staining in normal skin,AK,BCC and cSCC tissues were 0.00%(0/30),13.33%(4/30),3.33%(1/30)and 26.67%(8/30),respectively.The differences between cSCC group and normal skin group were statistically significant(P<0.05).The positive rate of GLUD1 staining in MM group and intradermal nevus group was 0.00%(0/30)and 50.00%(15/30),and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The high expression of GLUD1 may be related to the pathogenesis of cSCC and MM.
