Effects of Compound Huangbai Liquid Combined with Silver Sulfadiazine Cream on Wound Healing and Inflammatory Factors in Burn Patients with Multi-drug Resistant Bacterial Wound Infection
Objective In order to investigate the effects of compound Huangbai liquid combined with silver sulfadiazine cream on wound healing and inflammatory factors in burn patients with multi-drug resistant bacteria(MDROS)wound infection.Methods Eighty-six cases of burn patients with MDROS wound infection who were admitted to our hospital from July 2019 to January 2022 were selected and divided into the control group(treated with silver sulfadiazine cream)and the observation group(treated with compound Huangbai liquid combined with MDRMs)by digital parity method,43 cases in each group.Wound traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)symptom score,wound area,wound healing rate,inflammatory factors[procalcitonin(PCT),C-reactive protein(CRP)],bacterial culture results of wound secretions and adverse reactions in both groups were compared.Results After treatment,the main symptom score,secondary symptom score and total score in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P＜0.05).The total effective rate in the observation group was higher than that in the control group(P＜0.05).After treatment,the wound area of the observation group was smaller than that of the control group(P＜0.05).The wound healing rate in the observation group was higher than that in the control group(P＜0.05).After treatment,the levels of PCT,CRP in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P＜0.05).After treatment,the number of Gram-positive bacteria and Gram-negative bacteria in the observation group was smaller than that in the control group(P＜0.05).The incidence of adverse reactions in both groups was similar(P＞0.05).Conclusion Combination therapy of compound Huangbai liquid and silver sulfadiazine cream for burn patients with multiple MDROS wound infection is beneficial to relieve clinical symptoms,improve clinical efficacy,promote wound healing,reduce the level of inflammatory factor levels,control wound bacterial infection,and it is safe and reliable.
