Objective In order to compare the expression of adenosine-triphosphate citrate lyase(ACLY)in normal skin, solar keratosis(AK)and cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma(cSCC).Methods From October 2020 to June 2021,30 formalin-fixed,paraffin-embedded(FFPE)tissue specimens of AK,cSCC and normal skin were collected from patients in our hospital. The expression of ACLY in 30 cases of normal skin,30 cases of AK and 30 cases of cSCC tissues was detected by immunohistochemical strept avidin-biotin complex(SABC)method. Results The positive rate of ACLY in cSCC group was(27.7±6.7)%,which was significantly higher than that in normal skin group(18.8±1.7)%and AK group(20.4±6.8)%.There were no significant differences in ACLY positive cell rate between normal skin group and AK group. The positive rates of ACLY staining in normal skin,AK and cSCC tissues were 0.00%(0/30),3.33%(1/30)and 23.33%(7/30),respectively,and the differences between cSCC group and normal skin group were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The high expression of ACLY may be related to the pathogenesis of cSCC.
