Objective To investigate the clinical value of Shumai capsules in treating neuropathic ulcers in diabetic foot. Methods 82 patients who visited the affiliated Beijing Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital of Capital Medical University between January 2020 and June 2021 were included in this study.Using a random number table, samples were drawn and equally divided into an observation group and a control group, with 41 patients each.Control group:Standard western medical treatment.Observation group:Standard western medical treatment combined with Shumai capsule treatment.Observational indicators included:TCSS score, levels of related inflammatory factors, median nerve and peroneal nerve MNCV,median nerve and peroneal nerve SNCV,and wound healing status. Results The TCSS score of the observation group was better than that of the control group, showing a statistically significant difference(P<0.05).The levels of IGF-1,EGF,and NO in the observation group were higher than in the control group, while the level of TNF-α was lower(P<0.05).After intervention, the median and peroneal nerve MNCV levels in the observation group were higher than those before intervention within the same group and after intervention in the control group, with a significant difference(P<0.05).After intervention in the observation group, the median and peroneal nerve SNCV levels were higher than those after intervention in the control group, with a significant difference(P<0.05).The overall wound healing rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05).Conclusion The Shumai capsule treatment for early-stage neuropathic diabetic foot ulcers is effective. It can alleviate symptoms of nerve lesions in patients, improve the level of inflammatory factors, enhance nerve conduction speed, promote wound healing, and holds high clinical value.
