Objective To analyze the efficacy of Chaihu Guizhi Ganjiang decoction on gastrointestinal dysfunction(GD)of gastric cancer patients post surgery. Methods A total of 104 patients undergoing gastric cancer surgery were collected from patients admitted to Nanjing Gaochun People's Hospital from January of 2021 to January of 2023 and divided into two groups by random number table method(52 patients in each group). Two groups of patients received standard laparoscopic surgery for gastric cancer according to the diagnosis and treatment guidelines, the control group was referred to perioperative treatment of gastric cancer for conventional intervention, and the observation group was given with Chaihu Guizhi Ganjiang on the 7th day after surgery on the basis of control group. After 1 week of continuous treatment, the efficacy and related indexes were detected. The therapeutic effect,GD score, nutritional status and gastrointestinal hormone levels were compared between the two groups. Results One week after surgery,GD score was significantly reduced in two groups, and more significantly in observation group(P<0.05).One week after surgery, the levels of serum growth hormone(GH),albumin(ALB)and transferrin(TRF)were increased significantly in two groups, and more significantly in treatment group(P<0.05).One week after surgery, the effective rate of the observation group was 98.08%(51/52),higher than that of the control group(84.62%,44/52),the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).One week after surgery, serum levels of gastrin and motilin were significantly increased in two groups, and more significantly in observation group(P<0.05).Conclusion The efficacy of Chaihu Guizhi Ganjiang decoction on GD of gastric cancer patients post surgery is definite,is beneficial to the improvement of clinical symptoms and nutritional status, and can regulate gastrointestinal hormone secretion.
