Clinical effect of external application of Fengshi Bitong powder combined with extracorporeal shock wave in the treatment of lumbar and back myofascitis
Objective To investigate the clinical effect of external application of Fengshi Bitong powder combined with extracorporeal shock wave therapy on patients with lumbar and back myofascitis.Methods Ninety-eight patients with lumbar and back myofascitis admitted to the outpatient department of our hospital from August 2022 to January 2024 were divided into two groups by random number table method,49 patients in the control group were given extracorporeal shock wave therapy,and 49 patients in the observation group were given external application of Fengshi Bitong powder combined with extracorporeal shock wave therapy.The data of the two groups of patients were observed:Clinical efficacy,changes in TCM symptom scores before and after treatment,changes in serum interleukin-6(IL-6),tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)levels,dysfunction score(ODI)and Japanese Orthopaedic Association(JOA)score,and treatment adverse reactions.Results The total effective rate of control group and observation group after treatment was compared,the latter index was higher(P＜0.05).After treatment,the TCM syndrome scores,IL-6 and TNF-α levels were significantly decreased in both groups,and ODI and JOA scores were significantly improved.After treatment,the TCM syndrome scores,IL-6 and TNF-α levels in the observation group were lower than those in the control group,and ODI and JOA scores were better than those in the control group(P＜0.05).The adverse reaction rate of observation group and control group was lower,and the adverse reaction could be alleviated by itself(P＞0.05).Conclusion The clinical effect of Fengshi Bitong powder combined with extracorporeal shock wave therapy on patients with lumbar myofascitis is good,which is conducive to the improvement of patients'disease and lumbar function,and the treatment is safe and reliable.
