Analysis of the Thinking Characteristics of the Formation of TCM Knowledge from the Perspective of Meaning Construction Theory
The concept is the origin of the mind and the starting point of logic. The definition of concept determines the characteristics of knowledge and the direction and path of knowledge development. The differences between the Eastern and Western knowledge system arise from the different forms of the concept. Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), influenced by traditional Chinese culture, originated in China. It has a unique conceptual definition method and a special system of knowledge concept. TCM knowledge concept has an impact in practitioners' clinical thinking style and practical technology system after its formation. This paper uses modern sense-making theory to interpret the thinking characteristics of TCM knowledge concept and discuss its relationship with the origin of traditional culture, which can further explain the uniqueness of TCM knowledge system.
