Current Status and Trends of Traditional Chinese Medicine Translation Research Based on Citespace Analysis
Objective To Learn about the current status and trends of TCM translation in 2003-2022.Methods CNKI and CQVIP were used as the source of literature,and Citespace analysis software as the tool to visualize and analyze the time of publication,high-frequency keywords,research institutions,journal distribution,and author collaboration of TCM translation research literature in the past 20 years.Results From 2003 to 2022,domestic TCM translation research shows a fluctuating upward trend;secondary units such as humanities colleges and foreign language colleges of TCM universities such as Beijing University of Chinese Medicine and Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine are the main force of research;the publishing journals are mainly TCM journals,with insufficient attention paid to linguistics or translation journals,translation research hotspots and trends mainly involve terminology,TCM canonical texts,translation theories,translation methods and strategies,disciplinary norms,and empirical research on language materials.Conclusion There are problems in TCM translation research such as single language,limited research perspectives,imbalanced research focus,and insufficient theoretical construction that need to be thoroughly discussed and urgently resolved.As a result,domestic TCM translation research should break through research limitations from the perspectives of building interdisciplinary research teams,strengthening the cultivation of multilingual talents and expanding research horizons,so as to help the further dissemination of TCM to other countries.
