Exploration of the Impact of Circadian Rhythm on Bipolar Disorder Based on Time Medicine of Traditional Chinese Medicine
Bipolar disorder is a common mental disorder, typically characterized by biological rhythm disorders.Research has found that bipolar disorder and biological rhythm disorder are mutually causal, with severe circadian rhythm disorder being the most prominent.Traditional Chinese medicine, based on the theoretical core of"correspondence between human body and natural environment"and"changes in the rise and fall of Yin and Yang",emphasizes the impact of changes in the day and night of the four seasons on the physiological and pathological aspects of the human body. Therefore, circadian rhythm disorders are of great significance for the occurrence, treatment, and prognosis of bipolar disorder. This article combines the theory of"circadian rhythm"with the secretion levels of melatonin and the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis in modern medical biological rhythms to explore the physiological role of"circadian rhythm"in bipolar disorder and its pathological changes in different disease stages, aiming to provide new diagnostic and therapeutic ideas for clinical treatment of bipolar disorder.
