A Bird's-Eye View of the Fundamental Theory of Continuing Education
In the current process of educational transformation and innovation,continuing education,with its distinctive flexibility,immediacy and accessibility,is particularly responsive to the need for lifelong learning in modern society.At present,learners are generally aware that discovering and using knowledge is more important than memorizing and repeating it.In response to this rapidly changing work and living envi-ronment,continuing education has emerged with innovative theories and methods on the basis of inheriting traditional educational theories,in order to address the shortcomings of educational theory and teaching and learning methods in the accelerated era.However,as an integral part of the education system,continuing ed-ucation must still follow the fundamental principles and laws of education.So we should rectify an overview of continuing education from the perspective of the fundamental theory of education,teaching and learning principles,theories and methods.
