Whether the"Double Reduction"Policy Changed the Willingness of Junior Middle School Students to Study Futher?——Based on the Survey and Research of R County in Western Area
The"Double Reduction"policy implies the pursuit of high-quality education and the re-shaping of the education ecosystem to the maximum extent possible,thus promoting the return of education to the essence of human development,one of the manifestations of which is to guide students to choose the ap-propriate direction of further education in accordance with their characteristics.From the perspective of edu-cating people,it is of positive practical significance to examine the relationship between the"Double Reduc-tion"policy and the willingness to pursue further education.Based on the self-administered questionnaire da-ta of 401 middle school students,we conducted an empirical study on the relationship between the"Double Reduction"policy and middle school students'willingness to pursue further education with the help of multi-ple stepwise regression model.Research has found that the deeper middle school students perceive the"Dou-ble Reduction"policy,the more positive their views are on vocational high schools.In addition,behavioral at-titudes and subjective norms played a partial mediating role,and academic performance showed a negative moderating effect.The study provides new perspectives and empirical experiences for in-depth investigation of the profound connotation of"Double Reduction",and also provides important insights for the development of vocational high schools and diversion between general education and vocational education.
