Research on Input-Output Efficiency and Influencing Factors of Secondary Vocational Education in China——Stochastic Frontier Analysis Based on Inter Provincial Panel Data from 2011 to 2021
Using the panel stochastic frontier model,this paper evaluates the input-output efficiency of secondary vocational education in 31 provinces of China from 2011-2021,and explores what factors af-fect it on this basis.The results show that:①The overall output efficiency,talent quality output,and talent quantity output efficiency of secondary vocational education in China are all at a high level,but all show a downward trend.②The input-output efficiency of secondary vocational education in provincial areas is in a high-quality and balanced state,but there is still a certain gap between provinces,showing an overall spa-tial characteristic of western>central>eastern.③In addition to investment related variables,the proportion of graduate students among full-time teachers,the proportion of senior professional titles among full-time teachers,the proportion of fiscal funds in education revenue,the proportion of public funds in education ex-penses,and the proportion of total value of teaching and internship instruments in fixed assets have a signifi-cant positive impact on improving the input-output efficiency of secondary vocational education.On this ba-sis,suggestions are proposed to effectively enhance the attractiveness of secondary vocational education,ac-celerate the high-quality construction of the teaching staff,improve the funding mechanism,and improve the hardware conditions of school teaching internships through multiple channels.
