The rapid development of artificial intelligence has replaced a large amount of procedural work with machines,posing new requirements for the core competency of transferability of professionals.Core competencies,including critical thinking,problem-solving,and collaborative communication,play a crucial role in enhancing the professional abilities and employment competitiveness of vocational college graduates.The expansion of the scope of production process automation in the era of artificial intelligence,changes in production organization after industrial digital transformation,changes in population and occupa-tional structure in an aging society,and the demand for lifelong learning ability enhancement of social mem-bers in the construction of a learning society all highlight the contemporary value of core competency cours-es in vocational colleges.Artificial intelligence has also had a significant impact on the internal ecology of vocational education.The role of direct interaction between teachers and students in teaching has weak-ened.In a student-centered teaching model,it is necessary to comprehensively reform the teaching objec-tives,teaching methods,learning content,and evaluation methods of core competency courses.
