Core Concepts for Compiling Vocational Education Teaching Materials in the New Era—Content Analysis Based on the Preface of the Awarded Teaching Materials of the First National Outstanding Teaching Materials
The First National Outstanding Teaching Material Award represents the achievements of vocational education teaching material construction in China,contains the core concepts of vocational edu-cation teaching material writing,and promotes the construction of a high-quality vocational education teach-ing material system.A core concept analysis was conducted in the preface of 80 award-winning teaching materials,including special and first prizes in vocational education and continuing education.Using Nvivo 12 analysis software and three-level coding based on grounded theory,42 subcategories,14 main catego-ries,and 5 core concepts were obtained.Through analysis,the core concepts of compilation of vocational ed-ucation teaching materials in the new era are derived:based on a three-dimensional compilation goal,which includes adapting to society,serving the school,and individual development;relying on the dual joint development of schools and enterprises to create a teaching and research community for cross-school ex-changes;highlighting the compiling mode of vocational education characteristics,combined with appropri-ate teaching methods;using new technologies as carriers to present vocational education content rich in cul-tural elements;adhere to the writing principle of integrating ideology,standardization,practicality,and hu-man nature.At the same time,it is proposed that the development of vocational education teaching materi-als should persist in the continuous efforts of multiple teaching material compilation subjects,and collabora-tive writing should be developed in depth;the writing style should shift from focusing on work tasks to focus-ing on professional abilities,and promote the connotative development of new forms of teaching materials;explore the cultural elements of vocational education teaching materials development and deepening the cul-tural heritage of teaching materials.
