Experimental Study on Effects of Fuhu Pingke Yin(伏虎平咳饮)on Serum IL-4,IL-10 and TGF-β1 Levels in Cough Cariant Asthma Rats
Objective:To investigate the mechanism of Fuhu Pingke Yin on cough variant asthma rats.Methods:60 young SD rats were selected and randomly divided into 6 groups according to body weight:normal control group,model control group,Fuhu Pingke Yin high-dose,medium-dose and low-dose groups and positive control group(Budesonide).After2 weeks of administration,the contents of IL-4,IL-10 and TGF-β1 in serum were determined by ELISA.Results:There were significant differences in serum IL-4,IL-10 and TGF-β1 between normal control group and model control group(P<0.01).Compared with model control group,serum IL-4 content of rats in Fuhu Pingke Yin high-dose group was significantly decreased(P<0.01),IL-10 content was significantly increased(P<0.01),and TGF-β1 content was increased(P<0.05).Conclusion:Fuhu Pingke Yin can reduce airway inflammation in rats with cough variant asthma by in-creasing serum IL-10 and TGF-β1,reducing serum IL-4,which is one of the possible mechanisms.
