Objective:To observe the sedative-hypnotic effect of Yehe Anshen Pills.Methods:50 mice were randomly divided into five groups:blank group,positive control group(Anshen Bunao Liquid 5.2 mL/kg),and Yahe Anshen Pill low-dose,medium-dose and high-dose(3.2,1.6,0.8 g/kg)groups,which were administrated once a day for 7 consecutive days.Autonomic activity of mice,sleep experiment of synergistic Pentobarbital sodium and sleep experiment of synergistic Chloral hydrate were applied to observe the effect on di-rect sleep of mice,sleep time,sleep percentage of subthreshold dose and sleep percentage of subthreshold dose of Pentobarbital sodium were measured and calculated.Results:Yehe Anshen Pills could significantly inhibit the autonomic activity of mice,increase the percentage of sleep under threshold dose of synergistic Pentobarbital so-dium and Chloral hydrate,shorten the sleep latency of synergistic Pentobarbital sodium above threshold dose,and prolong the sleep time of synergistic pentobarbital sodium above threshold dose.Conclusion:Yehe Anshen Pills have sedative-hypnotic effect.
