Clinical Study on Cangerzi Dripping Pills and Conventional Treatment of Chronic Sinusitis in Children
Objective:To explore the clinical efficacy of Cangerzi dripping pills combined with routine treatment of chronic sinusitis(CRS)in children and its effect on respiratory function.Methods:A total of 88 children with CRS who visited the department of otorhinolaryngology in a certain hospital from April 2021 to June 2022 were divided into the control group(n=43)and the observation group(n=45)according to random number table.The control group was treated with cefpodoxime proxetil for suspension and mometasone furoate nasal spray,whereas the observation group was treated with Cangerzi dripping pills in addition to the treatment given in the control group,and both groups were continuously treated for 12 weeks.The visual analog scale(VAS),total nasal symptom score(TNSS),total non-nasal symptom score(TNNSS),respiratory function[forced expiratory volume in one second(FEV1),forced vital capacity(FVC),FEV1/FVC,peak expiratory flow(PEF)and maximal mid-expiratory flow(MMEF)],biochemistry parameters[white blood cells(WBC),lymphocytes(LYM),eosinophils(EOS),serum immunoglobulin E(IgE)],clinical efficacy and occurrence of adverse reactions were observed in the two groups.Results:After treatment,the VAS,TNSS and TNNSS were decreased in both groups(P<0.05),and were lower in the observation group as compared with the control group(P<0.05).The levels of FEV1,FVC and MMEF in the observation group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).The levels of WBC,LYM,EOS and IgE were decreased in both groups(P<0.05),and were lower in the observation group as compared with the control group(P<0.05).The total response rate in the observation group(95.56%)was higher than that in the control group(81.40%,P<0.05).During the treatment and follow-up,there was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:Cangerzi dripping pills combined with routine treatment can effectively regulate the respiratory function and immunity level in children with CRS,with significant clinical efficacy and high safety.
