Clinical Study on Modified Yiqiguse Wenpi Decoction in Adjuvant Treatment of Anastomotic Leakage after Radical Resection of Colorectal Cancer
Objective:To explore the clinical effect of modified Yiqiguse Wenpi decoction in the adjuvant treatment of anastomotic leakage after radical resection of colorectal cancer.Methods:52 patients with anastomotic leakage after radical resection of colorectal cancer, who were admitted to a certain hospital from January to December 2022,were divided into group A(n=24)and group B(n=28)by random number table method. The group A was treated with simple conventional symptomatic treatment such as cefoxitin sodium for injection, and the group B was treated with modified Yiqiguse Wenpi decoction in addition to the treatment given in the group A during the 3-week treatment. The healing time of anastomotic leakage, the time of recovery to normal diet, the length of hospital stay, symptom scores(anastomotic turbid fluid, severe abdominal pain, poor appetite, impaired bowel movement),clinical response and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results:After treatment, the healing time of anastomotic leakage, the time of recovery to normal diet and the length of hospital stay in group B were shorter than those in the group A(P<0.05).The scores of anastomotic turbid fluid, severe abdominal pain, poor appetite and impaired bowel movement were decreased in both groups(P<0.05),and lower in the group B as compared with group A(P<0.05).The total response rate in group B(96.43%)was higher than that in group A(70.83%,P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P=0.541).Conclusion:The simple conventional symptomatic treatment combined with modified Yiqiguse Wenpi decoction in the adjuvant treatment of patients with anastomotic leakage after radical resection of colorectal cancer has demonstrated definite clinical efficacy, with effectively improved clinical symptoms and reduced symptom scores, without additional risks of adverse reactions.
