Effect of Adjuvant Xihuang Pills with Chemotherapy Using Albumin-Bound Paclitaxel and Cyclophosphamide on Immune Function in Patients with Breast Cancer
Objective:To observe the effect of adjuvant Xihuang pills with albumin-bound paclitaxel and cyclophosphamide(TC)chemotherapy on postoperative immune function in patients with breast cancer. Methods:A total of 78 patients with breast cancer who received TC chemotherapy after breast cancer surgery in the Department of Thyroid and Breast Surgery in a certain hospital from 1 January 2021 to 1 May 2023 were divided into the control group and observation group by random number table method, with 39 patients in each group. The control group was treated with TC chemotherapy, and the observation group was treated with Xihuang pills in addition to the treatment given in the control group. After 2 cycles of treatment, the changes in the immune markers[CD3+,CD4+,CD8+,CD4+/CD8+,natural killer(NK)cells]were compared between the two groups. Results:After treatment, the levels of CD3+,CD4+,CD4+/CD8+ and NK cells in the observation group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05),while the level of CD8+ in the observation group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Adjuvant Xihuang pills with TC chemotherapy can improve the postoperative immune function in patients with breast cancer undergoing TC chemotherapy through regulating the levels of CD3+,CD4+,CD8+,CD4+/CD8+ and NK cells and is worthy of clinical application.
