Meta-Analysis of Efficacy and Safety of Compound Kushen Injection Combined with Bisphosphonates in the Treatment of Cancer Pain due to Bone Metastasis of Malignant Tumor
Objective:To systematically evaluate the efficacy and safety of compound Kushen injection(CKI)combined with bisphosphonates(BPs)in the treatment of cancer pain due to bone metastasis of malignant tumor. Methods:Databases, including CNKI,Wanfang,VIP,PubMed and Cochrane Library, were systematically searched starting from the database establishment to 22 January 2024.Randomized controlled trials(RCTs)of CKI combined with BPs in the treatment of cancer pain due to bone metastasis of malignant tumor were collected, their quality was evaluated by Cochrane tool for risk assessment, and Meta-analysis was performed using RevMan 5.4 software. Results:A total of 245 articles were retrieved, and finally 27 articles were included, with a total of 2255 patients, including 1108 patients in the control group(BPs alone)and 1147 patients in the combination group(CKI combined with BPs).The results of Meta-analysis showed that the efficacy of CKI combined with BPs was superior to that of BPs alone in terms of pain relief rate, quality of life score[(Karnofsky performance score(KPS)],serum alkaline phosphatase(ALP)and incidence of adverse reactions(P<0.01).Conclusion:CKI combined with BPs can effectively improve the pain relief rate,KPS score, serum ALP level and reduce the incidence of adverse events in patients with cancer pain due to bone metastasis of malignant tumor.
