Clinical Study of Wenyang Huayin Recipe Combined with Aerosol Inhalation of Budesonide in the Treatment of Bronchial Asthma in Children
Objective:To explore the clinical efficacy of Wenyang Huayin recipe combined with aerosol inhalation of budesonide in the treatment of children with bronchial asthma and its effect on children's pulmonary function.Methods:A total of 80 children with bronchial asthma treated in a hospital from July 2021 to July 2023 were selected and assigned to the control group and observation group by random number table method,with 40 cases in each group.Both groups of children were given conventional treatments such as relieving asthma,oxygen inhalation,expelling phlegm and anti-infection.The control group was treated with aerosol inhalation of budesonide suspension for inhalation,whereas the observation group was given Wenyang Huayin recipe in addition to the treatment given in the control group,and both groups were treated for 7 days.The traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)syndrome scores,pulmonary function indexes[forced vital capacity(FVC),peak expiratory flow(PEF),forced expiratory volume in one second(FEV1)],disappearance times of clinical symptoms,clinical efficacy and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Results:After treatment,the TCM syndrome scores were decreased in both groups(P<0.05),and were lower in the observation group than those in the control group(P<0.05).FEV1,FVC and PEF were increased in both groups(P<0.05),and were higher in the observation group than those in the control group(P<0.05).The disappearance times of shortness of breath,cough and expectoration,wheeze and chest tightness in the observation group were shorter than those in the control group(P<0.05).The total response rate in the observation group(97.50%)was higher than that in the control group(85.00%,P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:Wenyang Huayin recipe combined with aerosol inhalation of budesonide has good clinical efficacy on bronchial asthma in children,which can effectively relieved clinical symptoms,reduced TCM syndrome scores,improved pulmonary function,and will not increase the risk of adverse reactions.
