Observation on the Efficacy of Vapor-Mist Diacutis Therapy of Traditional Chinese Medicine for Peripheral Intravenous Indwelling Needle-Induced Phlebitis
Objective:To explore the clinical efficacy of vapor-mist diacutis therapy of traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of peripheral intravenous indwelling needle-induced phlebitis.Methods:A total of 100 patients with peripheral intravenous indwelling needle-induced phlebitis who visited a hospital from September 2022 to September 2023 were selected and divided into control group and observation group by random number table method,with 50 patients in each group.The control group was given external application of traditional Chinese medicine,and the observation group was given vapor-mist diacutis therapy of traditional Chinese medicine.The clinical efficacy,time to disappearance of clinical symptoms,improvement of condition,changes of pain[numerical rating scale(NRS)],safety and satisfaction to nursing care were compared between the two groups.Results:After treatment,the total response rate in the observation group(98.00%)was higher than that in the control group(82.00%,P＜0.05).The times to disappearance of redness,swelling,warmth and pain in the observation group were shorter than those in the control group(P＜0.05).The improvement of phlebitis grade in observation group was better than that in control group(P＜0.05).The NRS scores at 30min,1h,3h,6h,12h,1d,2d,3d,4d and 5d after treatment in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P＜0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in safety profile between the two groups(P＞0.05).The overall satisfaction of nursing in the observation group(94.00%)was higher than that in the control group(70.00%,P＜0.05).Conclusion:Vapor-mist diacutis therapy of traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of patients with peripheral intravenous indwelling needle-induced phlebitis has favorable clinical efficacy as demonstrated by rapidly improved clinical symptoms,alleviated pain and improved patients'satisfaction,with a high safety profile.
