Effect of Fumigation and Washing Treatment with Compound Cortex Phellodendri Liquid Coating in Combination with Compound Polymyxin B Ointment on Post-Surgery Perianal Granulation Morphology and Anal Function in Patients with Perianal Abscess
Objective:To investigate the effects of fumigation and washing treatment with compound cortex phellodendri liquid coating combined with compound polymyxin B ointment on post-surgery perianal granulation morphology and anal function in patients with perianal abscess.Methods:A total of 125 patients diagnosed with perianal abscess in the rectal and anal surgery department of a hospital from February 2022 to January 2023 were selected and divided into control group (n=62) and observation group (n=63) using random number table method.Both groups received one-time radical resection of perianal abscess.The control group was given compound polymyxin B ointment,and the observation group was additionally given fumigation and washing treatment with compound cortex phellodendri liquid coating.Both groups were continuously treated for one week.Clinical indicators (wound healing time,wound exudate score,times of dressing change and wound edema score),inflammatory indicators[interleukin-6 (IL-6),C-reactive protein (CRP)],vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF),basic fibroblast growth factor (bFGF),pain condition[visual analogue scale (VAS)],perianal granulation morphology score,anal function (Wexner score),clinical efficacy and complications were compared between the two groups.Results:After treatment,the wound healing time,wound exudation score,times of dressing change and wound edema score in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05).The serum levels of IL-6 and CRP were decreased in both groups (P<0.05),and were lower in the observation group than those in the control group (P<0.05).The levels of VEGF and bFGF were increased in both groups (P<0.05),and were lower in the observation group than those in the control group (P<0.05).VAS scores was decreased in both groups (P<0.05),and was lower in the observation group than that in the control group (P<0.05).Perianal granulation morphology and Wexner score were decreased in both groups (P<0.05),and were lower in the observation group than those in the control group (P<0.05).The total effective rate in the observation group(95.24％) was higher than that in the control group (72.58％,P<0.05).The incidence rate of complications in observation group(6.35％) was lower than that in control group (19.35％,P<0.05).Conclusion:Fumigation and washing treatment with compound cortex phellodendri liquid coating combined with compound polymyxin B ointment in the treatment of patients with perianal abscess show better clinical efficacy,which effectively improve the clinical indicators,reduce inflammatory response,relieve pain intensity,promote granulation formation,without increasing the incidence of complications.
