Clinical Study on Huanglian Ejiao Decoction Combined with Alprazolam Tablets in the Treatment of Anxiety-Related Insomnia of Yin Deficiency Fire Excess Syndrome
Objective:To investigate the clinical efficacy of Huanglian Ejiao decoction combined with alprazolam tablets in the treatment of anxiety-related insomnia of yin deficiency fire excess syndrome.Methods:A total of 104 patients with anxiety-related insomnia of yin deficiency fire excess syndrome treated in a hospital from August 2021 to August 2023 were selected and assigned to the control group and observation group by random number table method,with 52 patients in each group.The control group was treated with alprazolam tablets,and the observation group was treated with Huanglian Ejiao decoction in addition to the treatment given in the control group.Both groups were treated for 4 weeks.The clinical efficacy,levels of neurotransmitters[dopamine(DA),norepinephrine(NE),γ-aminobutyric acid(GABA),5-hydroxytryptamine(5-HT)],sleep quality[Pittsburgh sleep quality index(PSQI)],anxiety state[Hamilton anxiety scale(HAMA)]and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Results:After treatment,the total response rate in the observation group(92.31% )was higher than that in the control group(76.92%,P<0.05).The levels of DA and NE were decreased in both groups,with the observation group showing lower levels than the control group(P<0.05).The levels of 5-HT and GABA were increased in both groups,with the observation group showing higher levels than the control group(P<0.05).PSQI and HAMA scores were decreased in both groups,with the observation group showing lower scores than the control group(P<0.05).During the treatment period,there was no statistically significant difference in the total incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:Huanglian Ejiao decoction combined with alprazolam tablets can improve the overall clinical efficacy in patients with anxiety-related insomnia of yin deficiency fire excess syndrome,regulating the levels of neurotransmitters,improving sleep quality and relieving anxiety mood,without increasing the risk of adverse reactions.
