Meta-analysis on the Efficacy and Safety of Seabuckthorn Seed Oil Suppository in the Treatment of Chronic Cervicitis Complicated by Human Papilloma Virus Infection
Objective To evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of seabuckthorn seed oil suppository(CSSOS)combined with recombinant human interferon(rhIFN)α-2b gel in the treatment of chronic cervicitis(CC)complicated by high-risk human papillomavirus(HR-HPV)infection.Methods Randomized controlled trials(RCTs)on CSSOS combined with rhIFNα-2b gel in the treatment of CC complicated by HR-HPV infection were retrieved from CNKI,SinoMed,Wanfang Data,VIP,PubMed,Cochrane Library databases from establishment of the databases to 1st,July 2022.The data were extracted and literature quality was evaluated.RevMan 5.4 software was used for meta-analysis and subgroup analysis.Results A total of 10 RCTs were included.There were a total of 1 432 patients in the experimental group and control group.Compared with using rhIFNα-2b gel alone,CSSOS combined with recombinant rhIFNα-2b gel could significantly improve the clinical total efficiency rate of CC complicated by HR-HPV(RR=1.20,95%CI[1.15,1.26],P=0.79,I2=0%)and cure rate(RR=1.40,95%CI[1.18,1.66],P=0.67,I2=0%),with statistical significance.CSSOS combined with rhIFNα-2b gel could improve the HPV conversion rate,and the longer the treatment course,the greater the efficacy,with the 54 day group(RR=1.14,95%CI[1.06,1.22],P=0.32,I2=14%),the 60 day group(RR=1.61,95%CI[1.26,2.06],P=0.75,I2=0%),and the 84 day group(RR=1.83,95%CI[1.26,2.64],P=0.05,I2=66%).Conclusion Clinical total effective rate,cure rate,and HPV conversion rate of CSSOS combined with rhIFNα-2b gel in the treatment of CC complicated by HR-HPV infection are better than using rhIFNα-2b gel alone,without adverse reactions.
