Meta-analysis of Qilin Pills Combined with Western Medicine in the Treatment of Polycystic Ovary Syndrome
Objective To systematically evaluate the clinical efficacy of Qilin Pills combined with Western medicine in the treatment of polycystic ovary syndrome(PCOS).Methods Randomized controlled trials(RCTs)of Qilin Pills combined with Western medicine in the treatment of PCOS were retrieved from CNKI,VIP,Wanfang Data,CBM,PubMed,Embase,Cochrane Library from the establishment of databases to February 15th,2023.The quality of the literature was evaluated by Cochrane bias risk assessment tool,and the Meta-analysis was performed by RevMan 5.4 software.Results A total of 18 RCTs met the inclusion criteria,includin g 1 922 patients.The results showed that the experimental group was higher than the control group in total effective rate[RR=1.19,95%CI(1.13,1.25),P<0.000 01],the ovulation rate[RR=1.38,95%CI(1.31,1.46),P<0.000 01],the pre gnancy rate[RR=1.81,95%CI(1.59,2.06),P<0.000 01],the endometrial thickness[MD=2.00,95%CI(1.58,2.42),P<0.000 01],and sex hormone levels(serum follicle stimulating hormone,luteinizing hormone,androgen,estradiol)(P<0.05),with statistical significance.Conclusion Qilin Pills combined with Western medicine has a significant clinical effect on PCOS.Based on current evidence,the combination of Qilin Pills and conventional Western medicine has a significant therapeutic effect on PCOS.The exact conclusion still needs to be verified through large-scale,high-quality RCTs.
