Comment on the Rare Unique Copy and Manuscript of Wang Tao Lu Xian Sheng Shou Ji Xiao Er Fang Yao
Wang Zongyi,a"great scholar in the south of the Yangtze River"in the Qing Dynasty,wrote a volume of Wang Tao Lu Xian Sheng Shou Ji Xiao Er Fang Yao,which is a rare and unique copy and manuscript not published in Xin'an area of Qing Dynasty,and is not published in the Zhong Guo Zhong Yi Gu Ji Zong Mu.The book discusses more than 50 kinds of pediatric diseases of TCM,including more than 90 prescriptions,more than 30 kinds of references,and 15 items of Zhongjing's prescriptions.Wang respected the medicine of the Han Dynasty,the Jin Dynasty and the Tang Dynasty,and advocated the use of syndrome differentiation of six meridians in pediatrics.His argument was fair and balanced,without cold and heat bias.He made good use of the ancient prescriptions of the Jin Dynasty and the Tang Dynasty,and paid attention to pediatric pulse diagnosis.It is a monograph on TCM pediatrics that is simple and practical,advocates ancient prescriptions and has distinctive characteristics.This article carried out a comprehensive and systematic research on the book from five aspects,including author and the reason for writing the book,version,main content and composition,references,and academic characteristics.
