Visualization Analysis on Research Literature about Bee Acupuncture Based on CiteSpace
Objective To analyze the current research status and development direction of bee therapy in the past 20 years.Methods Research literature about bee acupuncture therapy was retrieved from CNKI,Wanfang Data,VIP,and CBM from January 1,2003 to April 12,2023.CiteSpace 6.2.R2 software was used to analyze co-occurrence analysis of authors and research institutions,as well as keyword co-occurrence,clustering,and emergence analysis.Results Totally 519 articles were included,and the overall annual publication volume showed an alternating fluctuation trend.The core authors in the field were Li Wanyao,Liao Zijun,Cheng Yongming,Zhu Wanyun,and Zhou Yingfang;the research institutions with more publications were Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine,Wuyi Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital in Jiangmen City,Guangdong Province,and Moyuan Bee Therapy Laboratory on Lianhua Lake East Road in Taoyuan County,Hunan Province;the high-frequency keywords were"bee acupuncture","bee acupuncture therapy","clinical efficacy","adverse reactions","arthritis",and"bee venom".The keywords were clustered into 13 categories,and 25 prominent keywords were found.Conclusion The development trend in this field has been poor in recent years,with few collaborations between authors and institutions,and no large-scale academic team has been formed;the research hotspots in this field focus on clinical applications such as bee acupuncture therapy,adverse reactions,Bi syndrome,Chinese materia medica,and arthritis,but there is still a lack of high-quality research.
