Visualization Analysis on Research Literature about Acupuncture and Moxibustion for the Treatment of Slow-transmission Constipation
Objective To investigate the research hotspots and trends of acupuncture and moxibustion for the treatment of slow-transmission constipation(STC).Methods Research literature about acupuncture and moxibustion for the treatment of STC was retrieved from CNKI,Wanfang Data, and VIP from the establishment of the databases to December 31,2022.De-duplication and management of the literature were performed using NoteExpress 3.8.0.9520 software, and the Excel 2019 software was used to analyze the time of publication.CiteSpace 6.2.R4 software was used for author, institution, keyword co-occurrence analysis, keyword clustering analysis, emergence, and timeline analysis. Results A total of 179 articles were included, with a general upward trend in the number of publications. The included articles involved 367 authors, forming major research teams represented by Sun Yanhui,Yu Yongduo, and Peng Weina, etc.Among them,Sun Yanhui mainly researched on the treatment of STC by warm acupuncture and moxibustion,Yu Yongduo tended to research on the treatment of STC by acupoint embedding, and Peng Weina mainly focused on the treatment of STC by deep needling of Tianshu acupoint. The included articles involved 187 institutions, with Liaoning University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and the Third Hospital Affiliated to Liaoning University of Traditional Chinese Medicine having the most research output;261 keywords were involved, with high-frequency keywords such as slow-transmitting constipation, constipation, acupuncture, electroacupuncture, and so on.Conclusion Acupuncture and moxibustion for STC-related research has been increasing year by year, with good development prospects. The author cooperation network has been initially formed, but there is a lack of inter-institutional cooperation. In the research hotspots mainly focused on electroacupuncture, acupoint embedding, acupoint patch,Tianshu acupoint, and Baosu acupoint, etc. The evaluation of the efficacy of acupuncture and moxibustion in treating STC,and the use of acupuncture and medicine may become the hotspots of future research in this field.
