Visualization Analysis on Research Literature about Manual Reduction for the Treatment of Supracondylar Fracture of Humerus Based on CiteSpace
Objective To analyze the research hotspots and trends in the treatment of supracondylar fracture of humerus(SFH)by manual reduction. Methods Research literature about manual reduction for the treatment of SFH was retrieved from CNKI,Wanfang Data, and VIP from January 1,2000 to August 31,2023.NoteExpress 3.7.0 software was used to de-weight and manage the literature, and Excel 2016 was used to analyze the annual publication volume. The co-occurrence analysis of institutions, authors, and keywords was performed using CiteSpace 6.1.R6 software, and the keywords were analyzed by clustering, emergence, and timeline. Results A total of 1 534 articles were included, with a general trend of increasing and then decreasing in the number of publications.A total of 645 authors were involved in the articles, forming research teams represented by Le Jintao,Xu Yiwen,Yin Aidong, etc. The research institutions were mainly Foshan Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Guangdong Province,Sichuan Orthopaedic Hospital in Sichuan Province, and Fuyang Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Orthopaedic Traumatology in Zhejiang Province. Keywords co-occurrence and clustering analysis showed that the research hotspots in this field mainly focused on manual reduction, fixation, clinical efficacy, children, small splint fixation, etc. The emergent keywords showed that SFH complications,Kirschner's needle,Chinese orthopedic manipulation, and incision and reduction may be the hotspots for future research. Conclusion Research on manipulative reduction for SFH in China is currently in a bottleneck.Large-scale and cross-regional academic cooperation has not yet been organized in the field.TCM orthopedic manipulation, incisional reduction and new technology may be the trend of future research.
