Analysis on Journal Impact Evaluation and Development Strategies Based on CNKI—Taking the Chinese Journal of Information on Traditional Chinese Medicine as an Example
Objective To analyze the influence and the development status of Chinese Journal of Information on Traditional Chinese Medicine through the big data of China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI);To objectively understand the current development status of this journal;To put forward development strategies;To provide references for academic journals to objectively understand their own development situation by analyzing individual case studies.Methods Taking CNKI as statistical data,using bibliometric methods,statistics analysis was performed on the relevant elements of journal publications from dimensions such as publication,citation,and download.Quantitative analysis on Chinese Journal of Information on Traditional Chinese Medicine in statistics 2016-2020 years,the publication of the journal features and influence at home and abroad.Results From 2016 to 2020,the average annual paper volume of this journal was 410.8,and the average annual citation volume was 404.4.The ratio of fund papers was 0.81,higher than the average of the subject;the average number of references in this journal was 13.40;the cited half-life was about 5.86 years,the cited half-life was about 5.54 years,the average of the cited half-life was 6.02,and the average of the cited half-life was 4.80;the average aging of publication was 305.76 d;The annual average composite citations of this journal was 6 336.8 times,with the main sources of citations being journals;the annual average value of compound impact factor was 1.142,and the annual average value of comprehensive impact factor of the journal was 0.812.The domestic influence was located in Q1 area.The average international citation frequency was 231.4 times,and the average annual international citation influence factor was 0.028.Conclusion It is found that the publication size is small and the proportion of fund papers is fair;the number of references is low and the paper has long-term effect;the domestic influence is located in Q1 area,while the international influence is at a low level.Adopting targeted and integrated development strategies can significantly enhance the editorial capacity of this journal.A thorough case analysis of this publication serves as a reference for academic journals to objectively assess their development status and devise strategic plans using empirical indicators from databases such as CNKI big data.
