Wen Bing Tiao Bian established a diagnostic system with the tri-jiao syndrome differentiation as the mainstay and the syndrome differentiation of defensive level,qi level,nutritive level and blood level as the auxiliary.In the book of Wen Bing Tiao Bian·Jie Chan Nan,Wu Jutong,who also had profound insights in treating three postpartum diseases among women.His distinctive treatment characteristics are reflected in the importance of using medication promptly without being too lenient,the necessity of replenishing heart qi after childbirth,the balance between nourishing and purging postpartum,and the emphasis on protecting the body's health and nourishing yin during postpartum treatment.Wu Jutong advocated a treatment philosophy of"referring to the ancients but not being constrained by them".This article systematically summarized his ideas to benefit readers.
