Influence of Static High-Temperature Oxidation Reaction Conditions on Chromium Oxidation Rate of Chromium Containing Resources
Based on the existing rotary kiln roasting process, this study develops a new type of static high-temperature roasting process. This process can be applied to processing chromium ore raw materials of different grades and types, and even chromium containing hazardous waste, which can improve chromium yield and reduce energy consumption. The experimental results show that the optimal chromium yield can be achieved at a reaction temperature of 1050~1100℃,a heating time of 120~150 min,and a holding time of 30 min.Unlike rotary kilns,in static roasting, the fineness of raw materials and the thickness of the material layer are key factors affecting energy consumption and reaction time.Powdered raw materials with a particle size of 10~20 mm are most suitable. This new process expands the utilization of low grade and difficult to treat chromium resources.
