Analysis of the Deterioration Characteristics and Mechanism of Sandstone-Mudstone Interbedded Rock Mass in the Three Gorges Reservoir Area of Hubei Province
Due to the periodic changes in water level, the geological environment in the Three Gorges Reservoir area undergoes complex changes, especially with a significant impact on the deterioration of the interbedded sandstone-mudstone rock mass on the clastic rock bank slopes.Through on-site investigation of the sandstone-mudstone interbedded rock mass on the bank slope of the Three Gorges Reservoir Area in Hubei Province, combined with on-site testing and indoor test results, this paper compares and analyzes the deterioration differences of the two structural units of the sandstone-mudstone interbedded rock mass in the clastic rock, and based on the degradation status of the interbedded rock mass on the bank slope, analyzes the degradation deformation process of the interbedded structure of sandstone-mudstone on the bank slope rock mass, and reveals the degradation mechanism of the interbedded rock mass of sandstone-mudstone and its impact on the development of bank slope disasters, thus providing theoretical support for the rational evaluation and prevention of bank slope rock mass degradation in the later stage.
