Energy security is an important component of overall national security.Shale gas is a unconventional natural gas resource,and the United States has successfully achieved energy independence through the shale gas revolution.Drawing on the experience of the United States and striving to promote efficient development of shale gas in China has become a strategic choice to meet the needs of the new era.Based on the status of shale gas development in China and the United States,this paper conducts comparative research from three aspects,namely government policies,investment entities,and environmental protection,in order to better promote shale gas development in China.
