The sources of sewage in small towns are complex,involving not only residential domestic sewage,but also sewage generated by commercial,light industrial,and public service industries,with significant fluctuations in water quality and quantity.Taking a sewage treatment plant in a certain town in Shandong Province as an example,combined with the designed treatment scale and inlet and outlet water quality,this paper reasonably designs the sewage treatment process and analyzes the design parameters of the main structures to reduce the land use,energy consumption,and operating costs of the sewage treatment plant,providing reference for the design of similar small town sewage treatment plants.
