Calculation of Energy Consumption and Carbon Emissions During the Mixing Process of Hot Mix Asphalt Mixture
The mixing energy consumption of hot mix asphalt mixture accounts for a significant proportion of the total construction energy consumption. This paper first calculates the specific heat capacity of dense graded hot mix asphalt mixture, and then analyzes the effects of temperature, discharge temperature, and mixture porosity on mixing energy consumption, and proposes a carbon emission calculation method for the mixing process of hot mix asphalt mixture. The research results indicate that temperature and discharge temperature have a significant impact on the mixing energy consumption of dense graded hot mix asphalt mixture, with a difference rate of energy consumption ranging from 39.13%to 40.32%;as the temperature increases, the energy consumption of hot mix asphalt mixture decreases by 3.12%to 17.86%;at the same temperature, the higher the discharge temperature, the less energy consumption decreases. This study can provide reference for carbon emission calculation and control during the mixing process of hot mix asphalt mixtures.
