Analysis of the Impact of Global Warming on Marine Ecosystems
Global warming can lead to warming and acidification of seawater, thereby threatening the stability and biodiversity of marine ecosystems. From the perspective of seawater warming and acidification, this paper analyzes the impact of global warming on marine ecosystems.Research has shown that seawater warming can affect the biological enzymes in marine animals, thereby affecting their metabolism;seawater warming will lead to the increase of sea level height, and damage the coastal estuaries, mudflat, mangroves and other ecosystems;seawater warming can lead to the melting of icebergs in Antarctica and Arctic, damaging polar marine ecosystems.Seawater acidification can affect the calcification process of calcified animals, affecting their metabolism and reproductive functions, posing a serious threat to the survival of calcified organisms in the ocean;seawater acidification can also affect the photosynthesis of marine phytoplankton, thereby reducing the primary productivity of the ocean.
