Research on the Process of Recovering Platinum and Rhodium from Low-Grade Waste
After the waste refractory bricks produced by the fiberglass factory are recycled through beneficiation, the tailings still contain a certain amount of platinum and rhodium.Experiments are conducted on pressurized acid leaching of tailings to recover platinum and rhodium from low-grade waste.Under the optimal leaching process conditions, the amount of refractory brick is 100 g,the liquid-solid ratio is 5∶1,the amount of sulfuric acid is 55 g,the amount of sodium chloride is 40 g,the amount of sodium nitrate is 25 g,the reaction temperature is 200℃,the system pressure is 1.6 MPa,and the reaction time is 4 h,the leaching rate of platinum can reach 66.51%,and the leaching rate of rhodium can reach 57.69%.The experimental results show that using a system of sodium chloride+sodium nitrate+sulfuric acid to treat this type of low-grade waste can achieve efficient leaching of platinum and rhodium, and this process has good application prospects.
