Analysis of the Sedimentary Environment of Lithium-Rich Clay Rocks in the Liangshan Formation in the Western Part of Nanzhang County
Nanzhang county is located in the northwest of Hubei province, under the jurisdiction of Xiangyang city,it is situated south of the Hanjiang River and at the eastern foot of the Jingshan Mountain,in the transitional zone from the mountainous area of northwest Hubei to the middle reaches of the Hanjiang River,it is rich in mineral resources.By studying the geochemical characteristics of trace elements in the lithium-rich clay rocks of the Liangshan formation in the western part of Nanzhang county, this paper preliminarily reveals the sedimentary environment characteristics of the lithium-rich clay rocks of the Liangshan formation. In the lithium-rich clay rock of the Liangshan formation in the research area, the Rb/K content ratio is 0.002 7~0.005 8,with an average value of 0.004 3;the Sr/Ba content ratio is 0.65~4.76,with an average value of 1.55;the Sr content is 32.2~728.0 mg/kg,with an average value of 190 mg/kg;most samples have Ba content less than 300 mg/kg,indicating that during the deposition of lithium-rich clay rocks in the Liangshan formation, the water body is in a freshwater-brackish water environment. In the lithium-rich clay rocks of the Liangshan formation in the research area, the U/Th content ratio is 0.21~0.60,the V/(V+Ni)content ratio is 0.73~0.94,and the average value is 0.86,indicating a weak redox sedimentary environment. In the sample, the Sr content indicates that the water temperature during the deposition of lithium-rich clay rocks in the Liangshan formation is around 30℃.The majority of samples have Sr/Cu content ratios ranging from 0.95 to 5.89,indicating overall humid and hot climate characteristics.
