Geological Characteristics and Genesis of the Sifangdianzi Peat Deposit in Huadian City
As a non-metallic mineral resource, peat has high utilization value and is widely used in fields such as agriculture, industry, and medicine. With the continuous deepening and innovation of applied research, peat products will further enter people's lives.Different types of peat determine different utilization pathways, and the primary environment and genetic type of peat determine its physicochemical properties and material composition.Based on the regional geological background of the Sifangdianzi peat deposit in Huadian city, this paper analyzes the geological characteristics and genesis of the deposit to better guide subsequent exploration work.Research has shown that mineral deposits are distributed in the valleys of the Holocene floodplain and residual slope deposits on the southern bank of the upper reaches of the Jinsha River, consisting of two ore bodies:east and west. The genetic type of the deposit is floodplain sedimentary type. From the perspective of geological structure, the deposit is located in the Zhangguangcai Ridge-Hada Ridge volcanic sedimentary uplift-basin belt of the Changbai Mountain continental margin volcanic basin and ridge superimposed structural belt,it is situated in the low mountain and hilly area of tectonic erosion in the central and eastern parts, providing favorable geological conditions for the development of peat swamps.
