Community Structure Characteristics of Planktonic Algae and Water Quality Evaluation in the Baijia River
The Baijia River is a tributary of the Jialing River and a representative river with a large water volume in Tianshui city. This study collects water samples, measures their water quality physicochemical indicators, investigates the abundance and community structure characteristics of planktonic algae in the Baijia River water, and conducts water quality evaluation. The results indicate that the water quality of Baijia River is slightly alkaline, and the water quality is at the level of Class Ⅱ to Class Ⅲ.After classification and identification, the planktonic algae in Baijia River are classified into 5 phyla,27 genera, and 57 species. The evaluation of plankton diversity shows that the water quality of Baijia River is moderately polluted. This study can clarify the community structural characteristics of planktonic algae and water quality status, thus providing basic data support for water ecological protection and effectiveness evaluation of the Yangtze River fishing ban.
