Experimental Study on the Recovery of Platinum from Spent Reforming Catalysts by Pyrometallurgical Smelting
The experiment uses spent reforming catalysts as raw materials and adopts a pyrometallurgical smelting process to efficiently recover platinum, and mainly investigates the factors affecting the platinum recovery rate, such as the type and amount of capturing agent, alkalinity, smelting temperature, and smelting time. The results show that under the optimal conditions, the alkalinity is 1.1,the smelting temperature is 1400℃,the smelting time is 4 h,the amount of capturing agent is 25%of the raw material mass, the amount of coke is 5%of the raw material mass, the amount of CaO is 40%of the raw material mass, the Pt grade of the smelting slag is 11.8 g/t,and the Pt recovery rate is 99.27%.The main component of the obtained copper alloy is elemental copper, the content is 90%~94%,and Pt grade is 1.95%~1.98%.
