Influence of Potassium Persulfate on Total Nitrogen Monitoring and Its Improvement Measures
Total nitrogen is a crucial indicator in water quality monitoring, with multiple environmental standards setting total nitrogen limits.Alkaline potassium persulfate spectrophotometry is a common method for total nitrogen determination.Controlling the blank value during total nitrogen measurement is vital for data accuracy. This study examines the impact of four potassium persulfate reagents on total nitrogen blank values, revealing significant differences between manufacturers.Recrystallized potassium persulfate significantly reduces blank values, and controlling experimental conditions effectively enhances total nitrogen measurement accuracy.
