Design of Alkaline Wash Tower for Waste Gas from Phthalic Acid Plant
At present, the waste gas generated during the transportation process of the oxidation material bin in a certain phthalic acid plant is directly discharged into the atmosphere, and the harmful component of the waste gas is mainly acetic acid. The concentration of acetic acid in the waste gas far exceeds the emission limit of the Atmospheric Pollutant Emission Standards for the Refining and Petrochemical Industry(DB 11/447-2015),which means that the acetic acid emission concentration should be less than 20 mg/m3.Based on the characteristics of waste gas emissions and the analysis and comparison of treatment methods, the alkaline absorption method is ultimately chosen to treat acetic acid containing waste gas.Through the hydraulic calculation of the alkali washing tower, the equipment specifications and materials are designed to achieve standard emissions of waste gas after treatment.
