Reserves Evaluation of Shale Gas in Ning201-YS108 Well of Shangluo District of Changning Gas Field in Southern Sichuan Basin
The Changning Weiyuan area in the southern Sichuan Basin has abundant shale gas resources and good reservoirs, but there have been relatively few reserve calculations and evaluations of the shale gas reservoir system in the Ning201-YS108 well area of the Shangluo district.Taking the Ning201-YS108 well area in the Shangluo district of the Changning shale gas field as the research object, this study investigates its stratigraphic characteristics, structural characteristics, sedimentary facies characteristics, and reservoir characteristics. After determining the reserve parameters and dividing the effective reservoirs, and calculating the adsorbed gas reserves using the volume method and the free gas reserves using the volume method,it was determined that the newly discovered gas bearing area in the Ning 201 well area was 91.17 km2,and the newly discovered gas bearing area in the YS108 well area was 68.47 km2.The total newly discovered shale gas reserves in the two well areas were 1361.80×108 m3.Finally,the evaluation results of shale gas reserves in the Ning201-YS108 well area show that the shale gas reservoir in the one section of the Wufeng Formation Longmaxi Formation in the Ning201-YS108 well area has high brittle mineral content, high vitrinite content, high organic carbon content, extremely low permeability, burial depth of medium to deep layers, and large recoverable reserves. The reserve conditions in this area are generally good in terms of mineral and organic carbon content, burial conditions, and recoverable reserves, except for low permeability and porosity. There is great potential for shale gas exploration and development.
