Comprehensive Evaluation of Geological Hazards under Different Rainfall Conditions—Taking the Key Investigation Area of Jinzao Town,Chaoyang District,Shantou City as an Example
Chaoyang district of Shantou city is located in the eastern part of Guangdong province, with a high population density and complex geological environment conditions.Taking the key investigation area of Jinzao town in Chaoyang district,Shantou city as an example, indicators such as slope gradient, terrain undulation, engineering geological rock formations, and land use types are selected to conduct geological hazard susceptibility evaluation by using ArcGIS software, then, combining historical daily rainfall data under different rainfall conditions(10 years,20 years,50 years, and 100 years),ArcGIS software is used for geological hazard risk assessment, and the slope unit is taking as the evaluation unit,ArcGIS software is used to conduct regional geological hazard risk assessment, and four risk zones are obtained under different rainfall conditions.Research has shown that with the extension of rainfall recurrence periods,low-risk areas gradually decrease, while high-risk and extremely high-risk areas gradually increase. The research results can guide local governments at all levels in disaster prevention and reduction, providing scientific basis for land spatial planning and geological disaster risk control in Chaoyang district,Shantou city.
