Study on the Properties of Waste Paper Fiber/Starch Composite Foam-based on Thermally Expandable Microsphere Foam Material
In this paper,DPWPF/CS composite foams were prepared by heating baking with corn starch(CS)and digital printing waste pa-per fiber(DPWPF)as the substrate and thermally expandable microsphere(EHM204)as the blowing agent, and the effects of the DPWPF dosage on various properties of DPWPF/CS composite foams were investigated. The results showed that thermally expandable microspheres could be used as foaming agents in the preparation of DPWPF/CS composite foaming materials, and the addition of appropriate amount of DP-WPF could improve the mechanical properties of starch-based foaming materials, and when the dosage of DPWPF was 15%(with respect to the mass of CS),the prepared foaming materials had the best overall performances, with the density of 0.66 g/cm3,foaming rate of 70%,hardness of 70.00 HC,elastic specific energy of 14.25×104 J/m3,buffer coefficient of 4.21,and resilience of 95.1%.
