Adsorption of Enrofloxacin by Activated Carbon Based on Papermaking Sludge
In this study, carbonized papermaking sludge(CCP)was prepared firstly, and then activated carbon based on papermaking sludge(ACPMS)was synthesized by activating CCP with a mixture of phosphoric acid and nitric acid. The ACPMS was then utilized for the adsorption removal of the antibiotic enrofloxacin(ENF)and the findings revealed that the adsorption of ENF on ACPMS conformed to the Langmuir isotherm model and the quasi second-order kinetic model with a maximum adsorption capacity of 46.8 mg/g.The results showed that the high efficiency of ACPMS in adsorbing ENF,highlighting its potential as an effective tool for removing antimicrobial agents from en-vironmental matrices.
