Study on the Dissolvabitity and Spinnability of Lyocell-grade Bamboo Dissolving Pulp by Non-fibrous Cells
This study investigated the effect of non-fibrous cells on the fiber morphology, pulp properties, dissolvabitity, and spinnability of dissolving pulp made from phyllostachys heterocyclava cv pubescens. The results showed that without removing non-fibrous cells, the dissolv-ing pulp of phyllostachys heterocyclava cv pubescens was better in the key technical indicators including alkaline resistance(R10,R18),and content of pentosane and extractives in comparison with commercially imported dissolving pulp, but worse in dissolution performance and fi-ber dissolution state in the NMMO aqueous solution. After screening out non-fibrous cells, all technical indicators related to purity of the pulp were improved, and the dissolution and spinnability were significantly improved.
